Howdy folks. For those of you who don’t know me I work in the financial sector, and though I like to leave my work at work, it is a subject I am passionate about, so it is inevitably something I am going to be writing about. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy though, as the saying goes. I am very much a champion of work-life balance, I was able to move out of the city to lovely Devon, without sacrificing my job.
Maybe I’m lucky, the breaks I’ve had. One thing I know for sure though, If I hadn’t escaped from the rat race, it would have been the end of me. I like to push myself. For me there is nothing like the challenge of distance running. I have a competitive streak a mile wide, and that pushes me on when my body is screaming at me to stop.
I been running a while now, and have done a few few 10k’s and half-marathons, but I haven’t taken the plunge to enter a full length yet. I think I should though. I watched the London Marathon at the weekend, and it has really inspired me to kick things up a notch. I have been online looking into how I could be a part of next year’s Marathon, rather than been getting on with what I should have been!
So yeah, expect more stuff about running, banking software and whatever else has been capturing my attention!
