OK it is the end of the week, and today I have been sent links to some stories that are just plain wrong. Not wrong factually (though it would be nice if they were), just really, really sick. Honestly I could not believe what I was reading. So, if you have a strong stomach, I present to you the two most bizarre stories I read this week:
1. Man killed by ‘internal’ eel – pretty shocking this. Basically this guy died after going out and getting drunk and having an eel put into a body-cavity by his friends. Nice.
2. 26 year old man having baby with his Grandmother – This is just so sick that there aren’t words to describe it. I really hope that this story isn’t real in any way. A dude should not have a sexual relationship with his grandmother. I’m as liberal as anyone, but that crosses all kinds of lines. That they are having a kid (with a surrogate mother) makes it even worse. How any kind of clinic can sanction doing this… again words fail me.
Not in the same league as the grimness above, but quite funny, and with quite a high WTF quotient is this story about some ‘unusual’ restrictions on new recruits entering the Papuan police force.

I am a typical man. Give me flowers and I really don’t know what to do with them, aside from maybe, if they are lucky stick them is some water. They die pretty quick. Recently though I had a problem, it would look really bad if I let the flowers ‘thoughtfully’ given to me by a certain special someone die. I had to keep them looking fresh for a week or, not to put too fine a point on it, my chances of getting fresh would not be looking so good.
Long story short, the flowers died horribly and rapidly. I had to think fast. First I tracked down somewhere in the area that could sort me out with some cut flowers. Next, I set about trying to reduce my ignorance on how to look after the blasted things. I share this video here for you now, so you too can benefit from the evening I spent trawling the web.

I found this article, pretty interesting stuff…
Based on what has been seen and reported, it is reasonable to wonder if commercial banking has more big problems lurking in the wings. For the past year, most banks and lenders have been subject to both disastrous operating results and negative publicity…
